Delete your account
You can delete your TUNINQ account at any time. There are two ways to do it, and you do not need the app installed to make the request.
Option 1 — In the app
- Open TUNINQ and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm your password, then confirm the final warning.
Deletion happens immediately. You will be signed out and the account cannot be recovered.
Option 2 — By email
We action requests within 30 days and confirm by reply. We may ask you to confirm from the registered address before deleting.
If you signed in with Apple or Google and no longer have access to that address, tell us the name on the account and the approximate sign-up date so we can locate it.
What gets deleted
When an account is deleted we permanently erase the personal data attached to it:
- Your email address
- Your first and last name
- Your Apple or Google sign-in identifier, if you used social sign-in
- Your active sessions and push notification tokens
These fields are erased from our database, not merely hidden. The email address is freed, so it can be used to register again later.
What is kept, and why
- An anonymous account record. After the personal fields are erased, a record with no identifying information remains so that purchase and token history stays internally consistent. It cannot be linked back to you.
- Purchase records. Transactions are recorded by Apple or Google and by our payments processor, RevenueCat. We are required to retain transaction records for tax and accounting purposes. These are held under the retention rules described in our Privacy Policy.
- A one-way hash of your device identifier. New accounts receive a one-time welcome bonus of tokens, and this hash is what stops the same device claiming it over and over by deleting and re-registering. It is stored on its own, hashed and never in a form we can reverse, and it is not attached to your name, email or account. It deliberately survives deletion — that is the only reason it exists. It is not used for advertising or tracking, and we use no advertising identifier at all.
What was never stored in the first place
The photos you upload and the visualizations TUNINQ produces are not kept on our servers. A photo is processed in memory and the result is returned straight to your device, where it stays. There is no server-side gallery to delete — removing the app from your device removes those images with it.
Unused tokens
Tokens are a consumable in-app item with no cash value. Deleting your account forfeits any remaining balance, and unused tokens are not refundable. Spend them before you delete if you want to use them.
